Surprise! You've got so much access to me

A client said something to me recently that I wasn't expecting:

"I was surprised by how much access I had to you during our work together, and how quickly you responded."

I as stunned. Really???

She went on to explain a myth I've heard countless times in my sales calls - she thought because systems = efficiency at all costs, that I would just be producing work and pushing her through a process.

And this couldn't be further from the truth.

Folks are nervous to invest in systems because they think systems = automating everything.

And lets-be-so-for-real-bestie - we are all f*cking sick of talking to AI customer service bots now.

My clients don't want to lose their personal touch and the intimate feel they have with their clients.

So let me dispell this myth in two parts.

Myth #1: systems are not all about automations.

Sometimes there are just more efficient ways of doing something.

Like when we have 4 errands to run in a day.

I don't walk out the door and pick whichever store I feel like going to first.

Instead, I pull up the map, see where everything is, and plot the most efficient route before I leave the house.

Could I just wander around? Sure. I actually DO that on my days off!

Rob and I love to walk Portland on Sundays with our phones off and just end up at our destinations whenever.

But on a weekday? I'm a busy bitch! I don't have time to wander!!!

When you're delivering a service to a client, that's not the weekend either.

You've got clients to serve and sales to close and teams to lead.

Designing and implementing more efficient systems for your offer's process isn't about losing the human element for the sake of progress-

it's about stopping the time waste so the human moments actually get the space they deserve.

My next email will dive more into automations - the REAL monster in the closet 😜
